57. John Heinz was not a zealot. Her marriage to him shone in a time when
the Republican Party was not a horde of slobbering dumbasses and bigots that it is now. John Heinz sat in the Senate then; so did Howard Baker and Chuck Percy. What you read today about John Cornyn and Saxby Chambliss et al has very little to do with the way bipartisan business was conducted in the time of Teresa's marriage to then-Senator John Heinz.

Fealty is not zealotry.
