This morning I made the difficult decision to take some time away from this blog. I love this blog and it has been a way for me to express myself and my frustration with Massachusetts politics. I have put my heart and soul into this endeavor for well over a year and I have written many hundreds of posts finding fault with both Democrats and Republicans for their combined foolishness and failure to better this commonwealth. At the same time I have offered this blog as a venue to discuss possible remedies to the problems that plague this state. Still, our elected officials openly solicit the opportunity to serve us, yet no sooner are they in office do we find their allegiance is to themselves and their own pocketbooks. {DUH! They're REPUBLICKERS!} It is sad and frustrating from the perspective of a concerned and caring citizen watching from the sidelines.


I have asked many people to contribute to this blog so the responsibility and burden of producing something of note everyday would not fall entirely on my shoulders. Due to conflicting schedules and other commitments those people were unable. At the same time many others have asked me to contribute to their websites, but for obvious reasons that would not be possible. So this adventure has been a part time, one man show of modest success. I have been invited to appear on television and radio and I have seen my work referenced in the Boston Globe, Boston Herald and Boston Phoenix over the last year. I am proud to have been recognized for my thoughts.


That being said, I feel a sudden and immediate urge to step away from this concern in order to pursue another interest in my spare time. I do not know if this will be a permanent or temporary retirement from this blog. As I like to write, and find great interest in the leadership of people I am going to enter the early stages of a writing a book on management. I have been a lifelong student of management having studied management in both my undergraduate and graduate education. I have been a regular volunteer in college level programs such as Babson College’s "Coaching for Leadership and Teamwork" program. I have mentored dozens of college students on several aspects of business strategy and professional development. Furthermore, I have been in significant leadership positions over the years often managing dozens of people at any single moment. All of these experiences now lead me to believe that I should share with others what I have learned about leading people.

I will miss contributing to this blog. I have learned much from the many folks that commented here frequently. But, it is not easy to commit to something that requires many hours a week with no pay and only rare thanks. For now I will leave the site as-is because it costs me nothing to have it sit here. For that I thank www.blog.com and the unique platform they provide. Wish me luck with my new endeavor and know that I will continue to watch from the sidelines with great hope and anticipation for the wellbeing of our Republican Party and its leadership.
