10. (just back from getting lunch) Rush said that redeployment
has ALWAYS been in the plan.... to some degree (he added the last part in as hushed a tone as possible)
He also said that the Syrians and Iranians are THRILLED as the US is clearly getting out of the region.
Uh Rush we are going to have to ask the Syrians and the Iranians for their help to help fix the situation much like they did in Afghanistan (the Iranians).
First caller equated us leaving Iraq with pulling out our support in Afghanistan when the Soviets were there and how (God I can't believe I am typing this) that created a vacuum .... problem is that Rush and this dittohead don't understand that the Taliban and alQaeda are way more of a threat to everyone IN power in the ME than they could ever be to us. The last thing anyone wants is some radical fundamentalists to sieze power of a nation, think of how tragic that could be. ;-)
