I've read a variety of articles since Katrina about the planning in case of a major disaster. I'm not going to define what situations would call for such a drastic response as this but I've collected some of the pieces together in my mind. Sorry no links.

1.) The WH wants the US Army to take over all disaster response situations.
(Pretty sure about this)

2.) The WH will outsource a portion of mandatory public systems in case of an emergency to other state side companies. This mainly includes IT and computer related functions.

3.) The government is financing building of detention facilities.

4.) A recent revealing indicated a plan to allow other countries to print American Money in case of a disaster.

5.) NASDAQ just made a large stock purchase of London Stock Exchange. This is not completely applicable but significant.

I don't think I like this plan!
