I was overseas when Schimpanski stole 2004, and all my European acquaintances were barraging me with questions like: "How can Americans be so stupid? Don't you realize what this vicious moron has done to your country?"

I could only stare at my shoes and acknowledge that many Americans are easily led, especially by master spinmeisters like Rove & Co., and point out that the 'Licans had control of the voting systems in many parts of the country and that the results were not to be trusted.

My local acquaintances then pointed out: "OK, if that's the case, we're ALL screwed -- you'll never get this pack of mad dogs out of power."

It was a very depressing time.
