I was hoping folks would turn on the live coverage of Sen. Biden holding JR's feet to the fire. Done now. Definitely check that out.

Roberts avoids answering and practices talking without saying anything; then tags on "....my understanding of the Law."

Biden pounced: "That's what we're trying to understand here, Judge. Your understanding of the Law."

Told JR he's not giving the panel anything to base their understanding of his understanding ON.

"We're rolling the dice with you, Judge Roberts."

"It's funny, this Kabuki dance that we do here."

Thank you Senator Biden, for TRYING and for being forceful and gutsy about trying to get SOMETHING RESEMBLING AN ANSWER.

Note with Biden: Roberts is "smooth" and "confident" until he feels on the defensive-- his voice level goes higher, he turns condescending, with barely contained hostility a la Rumsfeld (why are these peons asking ME questions).

Biden got Roberts to show his true colors and revealed PHONINESS of the pose that he, and the Rong Wing, have taken on this hearing process.
