13. I agree in one sense
I personally think that 9/11 could have been prevented and the Taliban dealt with in another way.

But if we take 9/11 at face value (i.e. the official version), then, yes, helping the Northern Alliance to displace the Taliban was the right thing to do. But letting Bin Laden get away was wrong and diverting resources to preparing the Iraq War was wrong too, partcularly as Afghanistan hadn't been sufficiently stabilised and is now reverting back to its previous chaotic state (in fact possibly worse due to increased heroin cultivation).
