CNN provides MOST Government & Corporate VNR's to 800+ local T.V.

...Stations, Reported NPR's David Folkenflik on "All Things Considered" Friday. They also said that CBS provides VNR's from Corporations, but NOT from the Federal Government, like that's supposed to make us feel better.

I don't know how many of you already knew this, but this has really come as a shock to me, and I'm really pissed off about this.

A paid subscription service for Government and Corporate Propaganda for Local T.V. Stations!:mad:

If we are ever going regain control of the U.S. Government, we have to put an end to this Propaganda umbilical cord or "Remove this Propaganda feeding tube." How can we do this?

All Things Considered, March 25, 2005 · As resources have shrunk and profit pressures increased for TV newsrooms, some have chosen to take questionable shortcuts. Among them, the unattributed use of VNRs -- video news releases. VNRs provided by federal agencies have drawn recent attention, but they're also being produced by large corporations trying to shape the news.
