so even if not a Rove tactic, the portion of the tapes released are uneventful. At the very least, the portions of the tapes released chosen by a Bush supporter - not like he was going to release anything terribly dammaging.

I think Bush is trying to move to the center right now (or away from the religions right) because of other tactics they have used - in order to move his agenda forward - which makes me think the tapes could likely be propaganda.
