122. To protest or not to protest
That is the question.

Will this blow over if we ignore it? Probably not. Will Kerry look weak if he allows Sinclair to televise this program without a protest? Probably. Will voters gauge Kerry's commitment to standing up to terrorists according to his commitment to stand up for himself against the Sinclairs of the world? Absolutely. What will people think? If Kerry cannot stand up against Sinclair, how can he stand up against terrorists?

How best to stand up against Sinclair? Go to the FEC. Isn't the gift of this time a corporate donation to a specific political candidate. We should all write any sponsors of Sinclair programming to voice our disapproval against this abuse. We should also write and call not only the FCC, but local authorities -- cities, etc. that give Sinclair cable rights (if, as I understand it, Sinclair is a cable co.). In addition, we should publicize the names of all companies that advertise on Sinclair channels and ask subscribers to Sinclair cable to cancel their subscriptions or alternatively ask those who watch Sinclair stations to stop watching them and write Sinclair and Sinclair's advertisers to say why they have stopped.
