5. Well, he can't put them in the regular judicial courts.. All a lawyer would have to do
is explain that the information that was exposed could not be used because the person was under extreme duress (torture). Due Process and all the legal laws would allow these people to walk away. Some of them are actually dangerous or should be locked up. However, a regular judicial system would have no other recourse than to let them free. AND at this point, how many of them are now dangerous because we've held them for years and tortured them?

Because of Gitmo and the torture, we are unable to allow these detainees to have a regular day in court. Because of Bush and Cheney, we are unable to allow detainees a normal day in court.

Obama knows this. There is no way to allow these detainees a normalized court. I hope once Gitmo closes a law is placed internal and internationally that would NEVER allow a Gitmo type system ever again. Actually, there may already be laws against a Gitmo style detention facility.
