109. No it has everything to do with race.
The only reason Steele was elected head of RNC and Jindell has been thrown out there is to try and show that they (supposedly) are attracting minorities to their party.

Steele has been a hack all of his life and he stepped into this mess by trying to "be cool", using words he has never used in public before, acting as if he grew up in the hood, etc. No he did this to himself. Steele pretends that his race doesn't matter in the Repug party, well that's all they see.

On the DL Hugley show when DL told him Rush was the head of the party, Steele argued vehemently that Steele was the head of the party. And if he would have left it at that and went toe to to with Rush he would have gained, "street cred", with that audience that he was trying to attract to their party. But instead of holding his ground, he offered a mealy mouthed apology to Rush. Trust me, as an African American (I can't speak for all African Americans) but this smacked of Steele cowering to the power that is Rush).
