If he governs like he runs he should be able to maintain a high level of support for the policies he's promoted during the campaign. Given that he appears to be a genuine moderate I don't expect that he will try to lurch severely leftward at the risk of alienating his more moderate/conservative supporters but his policies and proposals will undoubtedly reflect a MUCH more progressive approach than has been the case during the past 8 years to be sure.
