12. John King is actually pretty cool
I met him yesterday. He was in town covering a local factory that suddenly closed its doors with no notice to the workers and at the time wasn't even assuring the workers that they would be paid for the 4 days they worked last week. Workers on Thursday had health insurance and no idea the company was closing, but not on Monday. Some had surgeries scheduled or are pregnant. He seemed really at a loss for words about how that company was treating it's employees.

Anyway, I ran into him by chance when he wasn't really interviewing anyone. We chatted about our kids, the economy, the local company, our local Dem efforts in our little red County... He's a regular guy that "gets it". He showed empathy and understanding when I told him how bad things were and how when I was canvassing and talking to people working 3-4 jobs between the husband and wife they were just making it and didn't know how they would pay their heating bills this winter.

I like John King the person.
