11. Here's a picture of the whole setup, ready to be connected to a cell phone or any other receiver.
It's remarkably simple. You plug into a cell phone or other receiver and hang the induction loop around your neck under your clothes, taping it in place so it cannot show up near your neckline. The earpiece (it's so small you can hardly see it in the picture) gets a fresh battery and goes in your ear. The loop is simply transmitting an electromagnetic field to the earpiece using the air between as an air-core transformer. This type of system is the smallest available in the world and seems the likely choice as it offers a connector that goes to any type of receiver. Why interfere with the RF signal going to the receiver, when you can create a magnetic field that disrupts the actual earpiece?
