6. His mother died of cancer around 1995
His father died in Kenya in the early eighties. His mother's mother is still alive but evidently not in good health and lives in Hawaii. His Kenyan grandmother is actually his step grandmother who brought up his father. He has a sister who is half Indonesian and who is a teacher in Hawaii. She's 8 years younger than he is. He has other half siblings on his father's side. I'm not sure if her father is still alive.

You clearly don't know anything at all, and yet you feel entitled to comment that you feel that his family "doesn't surround him". You are wrong and wrong to make statements out of complete ignorance. He's very close to his sister and she's been actively campaigning for him as has Michelle's brother, the basketball coach at Brown.

As for a link go to wiki.
