After this current president, anyone who is semi-competent or mediocre would seem like a terrific commander-in-chief in comparison. However, I'm sure John Kerry will be more than just competent. If he reverses the economic mess of the deficit and the military mess that is Iraq then he will have earned the comparison to FDR.
