or some mix thereof come convention time, this concept of a "dream ticket" really has only one logical construct.

DISCLAIMER: I don't support either one. I backed Biden, then Edwards, then stepped aside to watch.

The whole "experience" thing (which is largely bullshit) goes away if she is in the 1-spot. he gets experience while riding in the copilot seat, ready for the next eight years.

Age. She's 60; he's 46. Enough said. She'd be old for a followon as pres, he'd be younger then than she is now.

Personality. Shes a wonk; he's a visionary. What we need at the outset is someone to sweep up all the broken china and start rebuilding the executive branch. We also need someone as an emissary to the world that America is back and it is different. I can see him doing a TON of globetrotting, meeting every head of state, mesmerizing them with his impressive gift of gab. She will never thrill them with her presence. We need to thrill them now. And to clean up the mess at home. She can do that.

"Reaching across the aisle" - Much like the globetrotting, the VP would be in a better position to meet informally, build relationships.

I am NOT trying to "steal" the prize from Obama. At the end of the day, despite all the cheerleaders who think this is march madness, what counts is to fix this country. It is a tall, tall order. Domestic and international. It is much bigger than any individual or their aspirations. There is plenty of work to go around. IF the two of them are to both be involved, then the logical positioning is pretty obvious.

IF Obama were to be POTUS, then I would not want her as VP. I can't see that ever working. I'd rather have Biden. That would blow the whole "experience" thing out of the water. And Biden and Obama are actually very much alike. In that scenario, of course, Biden is the one globetrotting and he already has relationships with the heads of state - he's already met them all when they were trainees! They already call him for advice! Despite Biden's stupid remark about "clean," he has a very strong record w/respect to race and Obama knows it. That is not an issue.
