59. How to turn a minor incident into a debacle.......
This story only has legs because the Clinton camp is tone deaf and suffers a massive case of hubris:

1) When Clinton says "she is proud" of the waitress. Excuse me, what the hell did she have to do with the womans work ethic. It sounds condescending.

2) The debate over if the tip and/or bill was paid or the whole meal was "comped". I think they went back after the fact and tried to fix it. Why not just drop a $5 on the counter in the first place.

3) Insinuating that someone in the restaurant stole the tip possibly the manager or that the waitresses lied. This is positively Cheneyesque in its mendacity.

4) Going back and laying a twenty on the poor women later - again condescending.

If this is the way a Hillary presidency is going to operate - NO THANKS.
