Task Force Lightning Soldiers attacked
Multi-National Division – North PAO
TIKRIT, Iraq – Four Task Force Lightning Soldiers were killed in Diyala Province Friday,
when an explosion occurred near their vehicle.
The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin
and release by the Department of Defense.

And the number of casualties average 2.79 per day for September thus far, or a total of 39. That's slightly less thus far than last month, but not significantly less. Sons and Daughters, Moms and Dads are still dying -- and for what noble cause?

Let's remind Congress of the many young children who will grow up without a parent, the many parents who will grieve for the child they will never see again -- and all because they are afraid to say "No" to conditioning continued funding on a mandatory withdrawal schedule. This is just folly. Withdrawing the extra troops added during the surge is just not enough
