REPUBLICAN? DEMOCRAT? THE PARTY IS OVER. WE ARE ONE!

Which party do you hate? Both... Neither... Perhaps it is a certain race or religion that disgusts you. The hate party must end or humanity soon will. People, the world over only seek survival and a better life for their children, just like you. Does that make you feel comfortable hating them?

We are all brothers and sisters, once we take a baby-step toward looking past superficial differences in custom and appearance. When sorrow is upon our neighbor should it bring us joy? Each time a brother or sister cries as their children die, it should sadden us all.

Ninety-seven percent of people in this world detest war and killing. Only about 3% of humanity benefits from war. The rest of us do all the fighting - often dying - for their amusement and profit. If you must hate someone; hate them. As we sit on the verge of a new Renaissance that 3% of war-brokers will do ANYTHING to divide and conquer us to maintain their power base. The party is over.

Meditation XVII

John Donne

Nunc lento sonitu dicunt, morieris.
Now this bell tolling softly for another, says to me, Thou must die.

"No man is an island...

All mankind is of one author, and is one volume; when one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language; and every chapter must be so translated...As therefore the bell that rings to a sermon, calls not upon the preacher only, but upon the congregation to come: so this bell calls us all: but how much more me, who am brought so near the door by this sickness....No man is an island, entire of itself...any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never ask for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."

I AM A ROCK

Simon and Garfunkle

A winter’s day

In a deep and dark december;
I am alone,

Gazing from my window
to the streets below

On a freshly fallen silent shroud of snow.

I am a rock,

I am an island.

I’ve built walls,

A fortress deep and mighty,

That none may penetrate.

I have no need of friendship;
friendship causes pain.

It’s laughter and it’s loving I disdain.

I am a rock,

I am an island.

Don’t talk of love,

But I’ve heard the words before;

It’s sleeping in my memory.

I won’t disturb the slumber
of feelings that have died.

If I never loved
I never would have cried.

I am a rock,

I am an island.

I have my books

And my poetry to protect me;

I am shielded in my armor,

Hiding in my room, safe within my womb.

I touch no one and no one touches me.

I am a rock,

I am an island.

It's time to put aside partisan politics and vote for anyone who promises an end to the needless killing. It's time to join a party called humankind, as we celebrate peace.
