Will Bush Get A Third Term?

This question ain't so ridiculous now, is it? We can all take off our tinfoil hats now. They don't work anymore.

People used to flame me for warning about this. I can safely get out of my flack jacket now.

Is there anyone who stills doubts that they can do whatever the hell they want to do? If you complain they will tell you flat out, "we're gonna continue doing it".

It appears now that the president is above the law and the constitution so long as "we are at war."

We have been told that the "war" is now permanent. Bin Laden is still at large. We are at war and only the "unitary executive" can save us.

We can't be bothered with the constitution, or congress,(we briefed them), or the federal courts, (who needs warrants when the supreme court of the land orders that votes NOT be counted).

We are at war.

Anyone who doesn't recognize this is giving aid and comfort to the enemy, and is therefore, by extension, treasonous.

They can arrest you without charging you. They can hold you indefinitely. They can prevent you from having a lawyer, and if you are lucky enough somehow to get one, they can eavesdrop on your conversations. Our "unitary executive" has sole discretion over whom these things will happen to.

We can't be bothered with the constitution. We are at war. Even though we are fighting them over there, the enemy is here.

If Bush wants a third term he will take it. He will claim that congress already gave it to him when it "authorized him to fight the war on terror" and besides it doesn't matter anyway because he "briefed" them about it. The supreme court will rule that he is right, elections are a matter of national security in a time of "war", all power is in the "unitary executive" in a time of war.
