Do the democrats need a backbone?

They need one, but tell me exactly what do you want them to do? Ok I will vent right now but time I do, as all I see here, democratic underground and the Mike Malloy site is a lot of complaining. (with some exceptions and you know who you are)

I keep hearing but the democratic party this and the democratic party that, what about Kerry, where are the leaders?

Ok I have gone to three demonstrations so far, where at the top of it only 50 people showed up. Ok, people bitch and moan but if I were a Democratic Leader why should I put my life on the line (yes their life you read this right... .not career, but life) If all I see is people complaining on the net or writing them letters? EVERY FUCKING TIME we have gotten any social change it has taken more than fifty people taking to the streets.

So where the hell are you?

Look we are those leaders. It is also a fact that the politicos RARELY lead, but they are good followers.

You also want change overnight, ok, fine ARE YOU RUNNING for office in the Democratic Party? YES YOU? You complaint, you are that spine they need, RUN become an officer... (Yes I know some people have by the way, you know who you are), But the fact is, if I were a leader in the party and all I saw was bitching and complaining at the grassroots (though the giving of money was good and impressive, but NOT ENOUGH) I would not move a fucking finger either.

They need us as much as we need them. In fact they need US to show some initiative and if we truly believe there was massive fraud in OH... god dam it where are the THOUSANDS if not MILLIONS of people in the streets? Yes this is the frustration many of us in the front lines feel ok. Oh and incidentally we have been told they need us in the streets, in subtle ways, by many a representative. Barney Franks told us, look folks we have no recourse, the Courts are rigged, we have petitioned and we have gone the legal route, but there is nothing more we can do... where pray tell me have I heard that language before? Oh yes, the Declaration of Independence... do you really need Franks to tell you... my fellow Americans the only recourse we have left right now is Revolution? Do you need it spelled out that clearly? (Oh and boys at NSA revolutions can be peaceful, just ask your RadCon bosses)

We have had others tell us this as well... Nethercutt recently emailed another DU'er using very similar language...

Even Edwards and Kerry have been cryptic but have made references to the Declaration., What do you think they are telling YOU..... yes YOU? FOLKS we need you in the streets... that is what they are telling you... this is EXACTLY what they are telling you.... and quite honestly people are so daft that if I were one of them, I would not move a fucking finger either.


Now as to the party... yes they need to be infiltrated.. so are YOU wiling to do it? Are YOU willing to run for school board? How about County Board of Supervisors? Heck if you can spare a million or two, get a media outlet, because that is he other reason YOU DO NOT HEAR what the democrats ARE DOING? DO you hear a tree in the forest when it falls if you are not there? Oh and this is exactly how the Radical Right did this... got it? GOOD!

11th Commandment, Though shall not criticize a fellow republican... it works, extremely well... it is called MESSAGE DISCIPLINE and the RadCons have understood this for a generation.
