83. Yeah, who knew!
That was a tough run for him--it wasn't like he was running against a bloody fanged bastard. Weld had charm, charisma, a wonderful way with words, AND he had the advantage of being IN STATE 24/7, on TV all the time, and he worked the western part of the state like a son of a bitch.

I figured the debate would put JFK just over the top in that run, but I didn't expect him to win it in a walk.

Poor ole Weld. Lost the race, dumped his wife for a younger model, and moved to New York City! Screw those family values, I'm gonna PARTY!

I would not object at all if Dubya does the same, though I would offer my deepest sympathies to the people of New York, while at the same time offering my congratulations to Laura at losing all of that dead weight!
