Ted Kennedy survived a plane crash early in 1964 that killed two people and broke his back. He knew what he and his family were up against.
IMFO, what he wrote was for public consumption -- and no where does he say he agreed with the report's conclusion, only that he "accepted the commission's report and thought (RFK) should too."
He was supposed to have been aboard Paul Wellstone's plane that fateful day in 2002. He got off when Wellstone decided to head north to attend a friend's funeral.
