43. Why would such a law stop a guy intent on murder?
CHL laws only restrict those law abiding enough to obey them. There is not a magazine or gun law in the world that will stop a killer. He's already plotting to break the law and commit murder, why should he concern himself with a silly magazine law.
A lot of these proposals are knee jerk/feel good measures that in the end: do nothing. The killer in this case was insane. He was stalking Giffords for years.
---A stalker law could have stopped him. That's where the focus should be.
