111. I'm not going to speak to this person's honesty or lack there of. IF, the story is
correct then he did do the correct thing. Coyotes are normally very timid and run from people. If however, it is rabid it will not be frightened off - not even from a human yelling at it as described in this incident.
Hell, at the University I went to in Corpus we actually had coyotes on campus. Had to "clean up" after them every morning Ha Ha. And yes they were harmless and ran from people. If they had been aggressive toward people there would have been an eradication effort started immediately.
