Guy got fired for violating a company policy. Either (1) he did something bad enough to make them fire him or (2) they just wanted to get rid of him for being an asshole and waited until he did something--took off his hardhat on the jobsite to wipe his brow, maybe?--they could use as justification for contesting his UI claim. With no money and no hope of getting another job (who's going to hire a man who got fired for a safety violation in this economy?) he decided to seek retribution.
