No firearms for those adjudicated mentally incompetent. No firearms for those who have been convicted of a felony until they have either served out or fulfilled requirements of the full sentence.
EXCEPTION: No firearms forever for those convicted of violent crimes.
I'm in favor of NO RESTRICTIONS on concealed carry so long as the above criteria are met.
I'm also in favor of unrestricted ownership of all firearms by any who do not meet the criteria above.
I take the "shall nor be infringed" part of 2A at its face value. No licenses, no permits needed. Those under 18 will just have to wait until they reach majority. I know it's not a popular view around here, but minors have very limited rights. Gun ownership is not one of those rights.
