the fact is that being a strong advocate for the RIGHT to keep and bear arms is simply not the same thing as being a gun enthusiast.

i know several gun enthusiasts.

a gun enthusiast, is INTO guns. i am very into RKBA but i am very much NOT into guns. they simply aren't interesting to me. i own one,and for years, i was pro RKBA and i didn't even have a personal weapon, just my duty one.

i'm a guitar enthusiast, a video game enthusiast, but not a gun enthusiast.

do we label people who are ardent supporters of reproductive choice as "Abortion Enthusiasts"?

also, a gun enthusiast is not NECESSARILY pro RKBA although in my experience, most are.

they may be a cop , for instance, who doesn't think citizens shoudl have the right to carry. ime, most cops are pro-RKBA and aren't enthusiasts, but there are guys out there who are WAY into guns, but ANTI-RKBA.

i was very antiRKBA . part of what changed my mind was experience as a firefighter, and later, as a cop. and reading legal materials.
