2. University City residents I talked to were thrilled
They had voted down this development but their voices had been ignored. The developers always win in San Diego. I heard many residents of that area, where I know a lot of people, say they were glad this happened and hope it happened again and again.

Looks like folks are starting to turn against big growth, even in conservative San Diego.
