38. The point is this
He wouldn't use the initials instead of his name if everyone didn't think of Kennedy when they hear "JFK". If there were no Kennedy Kerry would go by "Kerry" because if he used "JFK" no one would know who in the hell he was. Using the initials is a pathetically cheesy attempt to get people to like him JUST because he has the same initials as Kennedy. In case you hadn't noticed there were others who were bothered by this as well. It has NOTHING to do with the election it's more about symbolic identity theft and it's not only offensive but lame.
