I heard it at the end of a late news broadcast last night on a local (San Diego) TV station. It was one of two viewers' letters that were read without comment. The viewer had the misconception that if (California Governor Gray) Davis resigns now the recall election will magically not happen and Cruz Bustamante will serve out the rest of Davis' term.

Folks, we need to keep up our efforts to get people informed and involved in the recall election.
