And to be honest, the solution (at least for me) was to get it out of my body and start using the sponge again (I found an online source that ships them from Canada). It was hard to trade the near-certainty of the hormonal product for the lower numbers on the sponge package, but having sex more than once a month was worth it for us. I also track my period/ovulation (I feel the slight bit of pain most months when the egg breaks out of the ovum); I am lucky enough to be regular, so again, that works for us. Good luck to you both.
