I was entangled with republicans until about 18 years ago when nothing anyone was saying made any sense. I can do all sorts of things including roofing my own home and I can bake killer bread. I was a stay at home mom for 10 years. I drive an SUV but I also car pool so it takes the edge off of it. Due to many personal experiences I believe in things that go bump in the night both negative and positive but I think that lots of people go too far pounding the world is coming to an end meme. I don't smoke anymore but I miss it like crazy sometimes and I allow myself to feel any emotion that comes up. I have learned for myself that stoicism and being totally unemotional only has its place during an emergency when its important to keep a situation under control.

Oh and I actually like Goldwater republicans, I find most of them more liberal than many self identified liberals.
