The one time I met him. Oasis ballroom, around 78 or so. little teeny neighborhood club in downtown Sacrmento. We went in early and my friend Frank lit a joint and passed it around...we were the only ones in there at the time and the circle was SO OBVIOUS!. Someone passed it to me I took a hit and passed it on. A couple of minutes later a security guy (Big Jim from BGP crew) told me he saw it and I had to leave.

Boy was I pissed!

So i went next door to a bar, the Why Not Club, and ordered a beer. Biggest beer ever for 90 cents. I looked around at the girls and none of them were cute...at all. Linda Rondstadt was on the Jukebox and I told the guy sitting next to me that she was about the only female singer I liked (I was such a sexist then). he then asked me "Are you gay too"? I loked around once more and realized I was in my first gay bar. I picked up the glass and just downed it.

I went around to the backstage door and after a while Jerry pulls up in this silver beemer. I was emboldened by the alcohol and told him my story (not the gay bar part). he said it was cool and took me backstage. We burned a fatty of the best weed ever (his..or really Mt Girls) I thanked him and went back to my friends and I had a great time at the show.
