you can set an option for a delivery receipt or a read receipt, that way you'll know the person got it without them having to send you an email in response. People get busy -- it's not unusual for me to have 40 - 50 "pending" emails in my inbox at any given time (considering I get probably 100+ per day, and reading / responding to email is not the only thing I have to do all day) -- and they may just overlook your request - which is obviously very important to you, but is probably like priority number 423 on their list of things to do........you know?
