has anyone else seen this film? I. . .had to stop it several times because it was so heartwrenching. It is very well-made, the acting is amazing (especially the young son) but, the story of a father and son walking across country after an apocolypse is just compelling - it is still affecting me.

I kept thinking, once it started, that this isn't something I should watch alone - but in many ways it is such a testimony to the unconditional love of a father for his boy in truly awful circumstances.

It is a pretty compelling drama - I know it is based on a book, but I've never read it - perhaps some of you have gone through the book. It really gets into my mind just how fragile civilization is, and how easily everything we take for granted can just disappear and permanently change the way people live.
