37. This has not happened to me, but I also don't consider myself a furry.
While I "identify" with the centaur form, it doesn't occupy all my waking thoughts. It's just something that I like and can incorporate into fiction.

My guesses on why people would ban and harass is that they get "creeped out" by the idea of it. Then others begin to equate it with beastiality, without bothering to attempt to understand the reasons for someone getting into it. And still others will never accept the concept that there is a deeply felt spiritual connection to being a furry, and so, lash out at what they cannot tolerate.
