1. When Dad finally agreed to a hearing aid
we got him a telephone designed to work with it. During one phone call he kept telling me to speak up, to stop muttering. I told him to turn up the hearing aid. He responded that that wouldn't do any good. When I asked why it wouldn't do any good he responded with refined parental exasperation, "Because it's in the OTHER ear." .....sigh......
