connecting with other progressives here on DU is good. The above suggestion about doing something creative is good too... I don't know if these "facing death" experiences mean you're limited physically, but within your present capabilities, exercise is certainly life affirming and enhancing. Yoga, meditation...prayer if you believe in that sort of thing...I find that cranking up some good defiant rocknroll like The Clash or Bruce Springsteen, and singing along at the top of my voice makes me feel alive too...
