Internet/phone setup for a home-based business

Now that my lungs have failed at yet another attempt to kill me, I've got a lot of time to make up for in getting my business going.

The facts:

No high-speed internet is available to this house, built in 1846. I finally opted for an air card from Verizon with a 5GB plan (biggest plan they had).

I did not activate a home phone here. Made no sense to pay the additional expense since I have cellular. I also didn't want to go into debt buying a separate fax machine.

Many of my clients are small businesses who may not be comfortable sending information via email and many still rely on fax machines. Since I don't have a land line of VOIP phone service, this is a problem.

Question:

Is there a program that will allow my clients to fax documents to me that I can retrieve as an email? Does my computer have to be online to do so? (this will seriously eat into my 5gb plan)

My business cards are ready to print but this fax issue is a real problem. Any help or information you have would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

:)
