when I was in 5th grade, the school district took away our ability to play touch football at recess because somebody might get hurt. My youngest brother 8 years later told me they were no longer having outdoor recess at all, they had quiet free period where they could read, silently play games or do their homework. Socializing however (meaning "having a conversation") was not allowed as it might be disruptive to other students. :wtf:

It's recess for goodness sake. Until that moment, overprotective parents of the world, I think I had never gauged your cruelty or your recklessness. Have you no sense of decency, people, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?
