50. As a little boy, I'd always dreamt about becoming what I am now...
As a little boy, I'd always dreamt about becoming what I am now... a typesetter.

Long, childhood nights spent dreaming about typography, font-sizes, typefaces, and the age old conundrum-- one versus two columns on a page. Learning quick keys was the stuff of my adolescence fantasies. While my friends were out playing with cars and girls, I would stay in studying Illustrator and Quark.

Actually, my childhood fantasy was to be an FBI agent, and I just stumbled into my career. But I'm not complaining about it-- I'm not too horrible at it, and have received a few, well-appreciated promotions and raises over over the years. There's something to be said for genteel poverty and picturesque squalor... :P
