59. If you think tv is a wasteland, don't go there. If someone else chooses to go there
it's none of my business and why should I want to kill something that others enjoy? I'm 56 and I have a degree in Mass Communications, so I may be a little prejudiced toward tv. I don't watch tv shows that I identify with, but rather for the escapism. I live real life everyday, so I don't watch tv programs that I identify with.

I'm 56 and I enjoy Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, The Big Band Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men, CSI: Miami, Heroes, NCIS, The Mentalist (my current favorite), Without a Trace, House, Fringe, Criminal Minds, CSI: NY, all of the Law and Order shows, CSI: LV, Eleventh Hour, The Office, ER, Numb3rs, Scrubs, The Simpsons, Family Guy, lots and lots of PBS shows, as well as older syndicated shows such as Friends and Seinfeld. I am not ashamed to admit that I love tv and always find something to watch.

Maybe 25 years ago I attended a very conservative Pentecostal church which did not believe in tv and did not have one in their homes. They were very self righteous in their anti-tv attitude and even believed that it made them better than others. It's funny how the 2 ends of the spectrum can meet.

I don't care much for music radio because even the songs I like, oldies or new, are played over and over every week like the radio station simply uses and iPod shuffle. I usually listen to PBS, both national, state and local. Others love music radio--more power to them--whatever makes them happy.

TV: if you don't like what is on, don't watch it. What one person considers to be "decent" another thinks it stinks. You know, the old beauty is in the eye thing, different strokes, etc.
