Reply #32: 67 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible

Cool story on this car. We drove it from the Bay Area down to the Ontario Motor Speedway for the first California Jam in April of '74. We got there early the night before the show, so we parked real close to the entrance gate. One of my buddies had brought his house speakers along, and we wired them into the 8-track (for you youngsters, Google 8-track for some old school audio!) As the night and party wore on, we had the loudest tunes going and people kept stopping by asking us to play their tapes. Needless to say, their requests were often accompanied by an offer to share their party favors and by the time they opened the gates in the middle of the night we were well on our way to the killer buzz. What a road trip that was!
