Need good vibes/wishes for my big brother

I normally don't post about my other family members, but he's my big brother and I love him so much.

He's basically OK (I think), but has really scared me.

On monday night, while teaching his carpentry class at the community college, he fell off a wooden chair and bounced his head on the concrete floor. :wow:

He refused to go to the ER or find out about Workmen's Comp until today, but did go because he was mostly tired. (Yes, he's one of those errant John Wayne types. :spank: :eyes: ) He's the kindest, most old-fashioned gallant you'd ever want to meet. And and very talented carpenter and cabinetmaker.

We spent the afternoon in the ER and CT scan confirmed that there had been some bleeding. However, they decided not to admit him overnight since no major episodes have happened in all this time. I just took him home about an hour ago.

They sent him home with meds and instructions to see a neurosurgeon within the week just to be safe.

It scares me on a couple of levels, one that he waited so long to see a Dr about it. Two, that they have a very traditional setup. He's the breadwinner and my SiL is a STHM. If he can't work (not just this episode, but if for some other reason as well), lord knows my SiL can't (whole host of psych issues.)

I just needed to vent about it all and please whatever prayers, vibes, wishes you can spare for my Big Brother that he won't have any lasting problems from this incident would be much appreciated.
