Where else should I take her? Boston? Philly? DC?

I'm a total Midwesterner transplanted to the West Coast, so my East Coast experience is limited to the following: 3 days in NYC, about 5 years ago and a week in DC, 12 years ago. My friend is from Belgium and she's been out to California, but nowhere else in the US.

So if you were to construct the perfect 2-3 week tour of the East Coast, where would you go, how would you get there...(oh, and we're looking at the end of July, if that matters)

Help!
