26. I keep my electrical bill low
I have 100% fluorescent bulbs in my apartment. When I leave, I just have the hallway light burning, and it's 9 watts, I believe. When I'm home by myself and not doing anything, I usually have the light on over the stove using 11 watts, and a 7-watt lamp by my computer during the night. Plus I have my monitor on, and my mouse pad is self-illuminated with blue LEDs.

Actually, my electric bill is about $15 in fixed fees and taxes and $16 in electricity every month. I don't watch TV much anymore because I don't have cable. I used to watch the replay of Conan O'Brien at 3am, but not since they broke the picket line. I usually use a toaster oven for making individual meals instead of the oven. And I have good light coming in from the patio doors, so I use that in daytime.

My PC runs full time, though, because I'm looking for space aliens. And I have a humidifier going as well.

I actually feel pretty good about my household carbon footprint.
