Okay... well...

I put an avatar back on my profile. Not the one I really liked, but a generic one that somewhat represents one of my passions. I've deleted my entire photobucket account, so it's going to take me awhile to upload pics again.

I don't know what I'm doing. Yes, I am hopelessly addicted to posting here... and receiving the "validation" (as a good friend of mine called it) I think I get from feedback on DU. It doesn't help that I live in Texas, and it's primary season, and...well... there are not a lot of politically like-minded Democrats here. :-(

One friend of mine told me I am an emotional masochist if I come back to DU. My ignore list is HUGH!!!1!!! It has almost 80 DUers on it...just for blocking PMs. What I'd like some of you to understand is this-- if you are blocked by me, it doesn't necessarily mean I don't *want* to talk with you, or message you, or befriend you, or even just touch base. I would love to feel like I could handle that. But I'm afraid to open up myself to further pain. There are many people on that blocked list I would really love to talk with, but I don't want to get close to anyone - ever again - in cyberspace. Ever. Still, I miss you guys when I leave here. Does any of this make sense?

What a strange place to be in, mentally, huh? So, what I guess I'm saying is I'm back. Again. I think.

:scared:
